Our Milestones

Every achievement started with a single step.

🌱 Founded Youth Eco Impact

Two students from Brecksville-Broadview Heights launched a nonprofit to fight plastic pollution and build environmental awareness in Greater Cleveland.

🏆 $500 Climate Reality Grant

Secured grant funding from The Climate Reality Project (via Global Shapers Cleveland Hub) to supply biodegradable supplies to local businesses.

🌊 NEO Youth Climate Summit

Led a breakout session on microplastics in partnership with Ohio Sea Grant and OSU Stone Laboratory, giving students a hands-on science experience.

🌱 Earth Week at BBH Elementary

Hosted interactive eco-education booths for students during Earth Week, inspiring a new generation of environmental stewards.

⭐ Launched the Kindergarten Project

Our flagship school outreach program bringing hands-on environmental education directly to the youngest members of our community.

♻️ Plastics to Compostables Initiative

Began partnering with local eateries and shops to replace single-use plastic with biodegradable alternatives at no extra cost to businesses.

Why It Matters

32% of sea turtles have plastic in their stomachs. Microplastics are in our blood. The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is growing. Every straw we replace and every student we educate is a step in the right direction.
